UltraLink provides Internet access at 3mbps downstream and 384kbps upstream for $79.99 per month. The service costs $82.99 per month for customers who lease a modem from the company. Other cable companies offer tiered services with pricing ranging from $29.95 to about $75.

As long as they keep the same ~$45 pricing for the 1.5M/256K service, I'm cool with it. I don't currently need the 3M/384K service, but it's nice to see that the option will be there.

it's very nice. If it weren't for the fact that i don't DL as much anymore, i'd think about switching to something like that. Besides, my TW RR sucks! AND...i don't host a server, and there's nobody that i could DL from that i'd benefit from.

Okay, I've got nothing against tiered pricing. In fact, I almost encourage it.

But ouch, thats pretty steep.

Ouch.. thats expensive. I remember last year when my cable was 3mbps/384kbps for the price I pay currently with AT&T. :(
