Is this good? this has been the cheapest and best service provided for business for light gaming and browsing. ATT asked for only 19.95 a month for 12 months and the speed is 768/128. It isnt cable but i would like your input on this.

The 128 upload could harm for gaming. Gaming doesn't use much bandwidth at all, but it uses a little more than 128k.

i would take the next $5 upgrade, and you are hovering around the sweet spot between smooth/choppy videostreaming.

Not sure if you want this for business or not since you mention gaming.

I pay $10/month for AT&T DSL 768/128. It's questionable for online gaming. I played Dungeons and Dragons Online (MMORPG) and it was fine with parties of 6 people with voice chat, but Raids of 12 people was too much.

It's not advertised on their website.

You have to make sure that you say you are a new customer and haven't had service before.

Why are you considering business class in the first place is what I'm curious about. Do you really need the benefits that a business class package offers? And if they're only offering that speed to you that must me that you're a pretty far distance from both the CO and probably the DSLAM. So there's a good chance that you won't have the best in terms of speed. Is cable not available in your area?

You're over-paying for what you get...From the AT&T website:

"Our AT&T High Speed Internet Basic is up to 10x faster than dial-up?at a great low price.

A great package for those who use the Internet primarily for email and small downloads of 1MB or less.

More customers have chosen AT&T than any other high-speed Internet provider.*

IP Address: 1 Dynamic
Downstream Speed: Up to 768 Kbps
Upstream Speed: Up to 384 Kbps

Plus, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access at thousands of hot spots nationwide, including U.S. company-operated Starbucks locations equipped with a hot spot.*

I have AT&T's DSL Elite and pay $30/month as part of a package deal.

"Our Elite plan gives you our FASTEST Internet access?up to 100x faster than dial-up.

Downstream Speed: Up to 6.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed: Up to 768 Kbps
IP Address: 1 Dynamic"

edit: Sorry, those are residential prices...not business. Your plan still sucks.

well maybe, just maybe this is actually for for business! i opened up around 3 months ago and it takes sometime to build up customers and i dont want to spend so much on internet and trying to find the best deal out there for cheap.
