They were being funny, at least in their own minds.

Ars Technica is a pretty good site with some interesting content that doesn't really compete with AT. It should be safe to put back whatever you edited out.

none I know of.

HardOCP has an interesting / different approach to video card reviews that works as a supplement to AT.

SilentPCReview (and their forums) is a good place to learn about quiet computing

Sudhian.com has more coverage of small form factor / cube PCs (and good forums for them).

TomsHardware might be worth visiting for printer and monitor coverage but be careful about bias and pay attention to who is advertising on the site when reading reviews of advertisers' products. (Lawyers: this is my opinion not a claim of fact 🙂 )

I meant Ars Technica was good in terms of their articles and reviews; not their forums.

Quite frankly the best forum for me is the VWVortex Car Lounge.

my needs are satisfied by AT forums...ars technica seems like a good website to find articles and reviews...but their website is not as easy to navigate as ATech...just little things here and there. but its good nonetheless.
