at stock, cpu not prime stable!?!?!?

at stock speeds (204x10, 1.5v in bios, 1.52 in built-in voltage monitor), my cpu only last about 2 hours, 20 min on prime95. is this normal? shouldn't it be far stabler if it's at stock? i can't rma, i bought it about two and a half months ago, and newegg only rmas procs within 15 days of invoice. do i need to raise it's voltage, i really don't want to if i don't have to, as even though i've a good hsf, it's still air-cooling (on stock i idle at about 33-34, load in mid-40s celcius, don't want it any higher than 55 at load, ocing is driving me mad, so i keep it at stock for now).

ram is rated for 2-3-3 at stock (200 mhz), and i'm running those timings at 204 mhz, 2-3-3-10-1T, vdimm set in bios to 2.70, in reality it's getting 2.78. have been using 2-3-2, was fine in memtest (i will test than again), buit today i had a crash to desktop in cs:s, and i loosed than timing in case it was the ram's fault.

why isn't my proc prime stable at stock (ooh, that rhymes!)?????

Sounds to me like you got a bad chip. If the ram is memtest stable you probably have a bad cpu. You don't don't have to RMA it to Newegg you can send it back to AMD.
