New fridge no less than 6 months old is making a whole helluva lot of noise (had the kitchen redone)

And advice?

sounds like a loud motor straining. could it not be balanced?

Should be under warranty if 6mo's, call the manuf and have 'em come out.

That said, pet hair and dust can make the fans make noise if they get clogged... but if no pets then I'd guess that 6mo's wouldn't be long enough for dust to be the issue.

If you don't have the water hooked up to the icemaker, lift the arm up so it's not trying to make ice.

yeah, just pulled it out from the cabinets. Only happens when compressor is on (I opened freezer door to have it activate). Seems to be out of balance or something - shaking the fridge ever so slightly makes it worse or better.

As far as intakes/outakes it is clean as a whistle.

probably gonna call service.

took off back panel covering compressor/coils.

sound seems to be coming from copper leads from compressor, readjusted tubing - seems to have fixed it. we'll see.

spidey handyman go!

-edit- yeah, boring thread. gotta stroke my ego somehow.

well that did do the trick - no more noise just by slightly bending some of the tubing where the noise was.

Sounds like it was just vibration. I'm sure you fixed it.

"hmm, seems like you removed the rear cover - that voids the warranty you know."
