AT not rendering correctly in IE6

white boxes with Xs are annoying

im running IE6 SP1 with all updates, i am using IE-SpyAd's host files and spybot search and destroys immunize with javacool's spyware blaster. i went back to IE because firefox did not render some of the frontpage created sites that i visit and AT seems to be the only site that has issues with IE.
 
Looks like the picture server is being blocked. Look at the properties of the white pictures to see their address and then make sure your firewall isn't blocking them.
 
when i hit refresh, they appear normally and it only gives me errors like that randomly, it could display normal or like that at any given time
 
This is not an anandtech forum issue, this is something on your end of things. IE6 has no issues at all viewing the forums, maybe its some of your numerous blocking software.
 
I've experienced this before but not just at AT. It happened at sites that had lots of small repeated images like other forums or Fark.

There have been other people here who had the same issue and we could never figure out what the cause was. The only common link was that we were all on IE6 SP1 and not everyone running that browser has the problem either.

I have since reinstalled Windows and no long have the problem despite the fact that I'm running pretty much the same software as before.
