I was confused about that too

I have a theory... Since the thread was locked at first, then some time later, unlocked and bumped, the one who bumped it was the mod who unlocked it. Unless AT Mods have a no-post bump feature.

Sad that I am 🙁

1) If you're going to do a call out thread - call them out and don't be a pansy
2) Did you set the expectation up front that you would charge for this?
3) If the answer is "no" on item number 2, how often do you offer to help people when they ask for it then turn around and try to charge them?

Either way - don't count on the money and quit being a cry baby unless you set the expectations up front and they agree to pay up front.

Re-read the original post again, think about what you wrote, and then go smack yourself for being a dumbass.

You can call me a dumb ass all you want, but even though he agreed to pay afterwards there are a couple other things to consider:

-Never do work with payment discussed and agreed to first
-Misconceptions happen ALL THE TIME on aim, this could be another. For all I know, the person receiving the script was joking about paying and shocked that the OP actually was charging. He then could have easily said "yeah, ok" on aim or something and never meant to pay.

OP, can you post the aim transcript?

Had similar situation also, took serveral months to resolve. Kept saying item was in the mail, then it became refund check was in the mail, etc, etc. I threaten to expose this "popular" ATOT member cause it was only $40 something dollar. Finally recieve the check minus the pay pal fee. Never thought this person could be such a flake. I think another member had to talk to this person to send me the check.

I have no idea. I can't tell.
Considering dartworth is in the hosting business, it's quite plausible. And it sounds like notfred really wanted the beer money. 😀 😛

C'mon dude...what happened to your ATOT style? You're supposed to send a demeaning remark my way instead of thinking logically...

NOT COOL! 😉
