Best pick: Ward(7). Only 4 TDs, but 94 catches and 1000 yards on a SB contender is nice in the 7th.
Worst pick: Conway(4). There were at least 8 better WRs on the board.
Overall: Faulk makes anyone competitive, but the rest of the roster favors mediocrity over potential.
Prediction: 7-7

Em's SackOFrage
Best pick: Bledsoe(6). Could have a huge year throwing to Moulds and Price.
Worst pick: Alexander(4). This perennial bust always fools somebody.
Overall: Green and Davis are a great core, but too many throwaway picks.
Prediction: 8-6

Doc's Pub
Best pick: Lewis(9). 2 rebuilt knees and a team that will suck at everything, but he will provide whatever offense there is.
Worst pick: Gannon(2). Passed up a good chance to really lock down the RBs. Stewart, last years #11 overall scorer, went in the 9th.
Overall: Top heavy with talent, but one injury could mean disaster.
Prediction: 9-5

Shaggers
Best pick: Riemersma(14). Bledsoe loves the TE.
Worst pick: Anderson(5). Will almost certainly be 3rd on the depth chart by the start of the season.
Overall: Jimmy Smith and Mike Anderson may never get on the field, and Hearst's clock is winding down.
Prediction: 5-9

Ready to Rumble
Best pick: McAllister(11). Good enough to make Ricky Williams expendable.
Worst pick: Holt(2). Not horrible, until you realize that Owens was still on the board. Oops.
Overall: Some good value late could go a long way.
Prediction: 9-5

SpongeBob
Best pick: Plummer(11). A lot of ifs, but monster sleeper potential.
Worst pick: Pollard(4). Classic "panic" pick.
Overall: Stars at every position, but little depth.
Prediction: 9-5

Screw U(me)
Best pick: Barlow(11). Even if Hearst is healthy, Barlow is too good to sit for long. Could be this year's Shaun Alexander.
Worst pick: Manning(1). None of my projected 1st rounders fell to me at 10, so I choked and took Manning. I should have taken Martin.
Overall: Good mix of talent, depth, and sleepers. Only potential weak spot is WR, where I could be in trouble if my top 2 don't perform.
Prediction: 10-4

Pimp Daddies
Best pick: Terrell(10) Could be nice, especially if Chandler starts.
Worst pick: Vick(4). Any QB at 4 after taking Favre at 1 is a mistake, but Vick is a big risk even without that factor.
Overall: Solid at RB and QB, but has nothing at WR.
Prediction: 5-9

Da Bulldogz
Best pick: Clark(13) Should be good in the red zone, even with Sharpe.
Worst pick: Indianapolis (14). Wow.
Overall: Very good, could be great if Bennett actually does something.
Prediction: 10-4

cfl rejects(computer drafted)
Prediction: 4-10

Voodoo People(computer drafted)
Prediction: 3-11

Music City Miracles(computer drafted)
Prediction: 10-4

Favorites: I predict that myself, Bulldogz, and Music will be fighting at the top while the rest are left to gnaw at the scraps.

I'd also like to say that while I took quite a bit heat for taking Gonzalez in the 4th, I totally stand behind that pick. The contract is a non-issue and he's a lock for 75 catches and 7-9 TDs, which is as much or more than anyone left on the board.

Can somebody dump this off to text file so that in December when you guys are tossing my salad I can hearken back to this "expert" anal-y-sis!

I have never read a draft analysis where the author didn't feel that his crappy picks were all "sleepers"...

Heh. I think my only truly crappy pick was Jurevicius, I should have taken Koren Robinson.

Have to defend my honor here. I'm of the opinion that Owens is gonna turn into a Moss of last year. That's why I took Holt!

And I couldn't believe you guys left McCallister that long! :D Thanks!

Conway is a consistant 100 yard receiver when healthy and I anticipate him having a decent year. There were not 8 better WRT on the board,

Look at the team
QB Griese - Probable pro bowler IF he stays healthy. (and sober)
WR- Boston - STUD
Conway - consistant Game after Game After GAME
Ward - 94 catches 100 Yards
Gadsen _ solid for a number 4 WR
RB - Faulk - Fantasy GOD
Stewart/ Jones - productive IF not flashy backs
TE _ alexander - Solid TE when healthy with f. JOnes as the back-up TE should be a points gainer for me.
K- Carney - Best kicker inside of 40 yards ever and should hget plenty of chances with the departure of WIlliams from the saints.
DEF- Steelers - ton of sacks and turnovers. Few Yars and an offence that keeps them OFF the field.

Remember this is a weekly contest and sometimes consistancy is far better that having guys that have GREAT GAMES occasionally.

I like Conway, just not at #4. Last year he only broke 100 yards 4 times, and put up more than 15 points only once. He's old, injury prone, and plays on a team that has a big QB ? and will run Tomlinson until his legs fall off.

I don't think your team is bad, but I think you will lose a number of agonizingly close games.

LOL!

The three teams predicted to be "fighting at the top" are currently 2-4 combined!

Hey, I made my before most camps even opened. And Voodoo People are still going nowhere, note the 50 point dropoff from week 1 to week 2. It's a long season, and Holmes blew 25% of his TD allotment in 1 game. When Lamar Smith reclaims his rightful spot on the bench after Foster comes back, it could get ugly. There isn't a single #1 WR on the team, and all the backups are, er, backups for players on other teams.

Let's also not ignore another huge factor-luck. Every team on the Yahoo top 25 after week one had either Holmes or Henry. 16 had both. In week 2 they combined for 120 yards and 0 TDs, as Bledsoe and McNabb went crazy. Those huge games even out over the season, which is why at the end you usually have a few teams at the top, a few teams at the bottom, and everyone else in the middle around .500. There also luck with your opponent, RtR has the 3rd most points but is 0-2. That's gotta hurt. Spongebob has the 8th most points, but is 2-0.
