Hmmm, havn't seen an Indian movie in a while ...

last one I saw was Jhankaar Beats ... now that was FUNNY!

U had me @ Amitabh Bachchan :) .... have not seen an indian movie in 4 years.... is it worth it ???

Heard great reviews of it but just couldn't watch it for more than half an hour. It was a pretty serious/involved movie and I just wasn't in a place to watch it.

I highly reccomend watching it, I don't really watch many Indian movies myself, but this was an exception!

got an 8.5/10 on IMDB ... pretty good for a foreign film

and the director is Sanjay Leela Bhansali ... pretty good director (1942: A Love Story, Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas)

edit : WHOOPS, he didn't direct 1942: A Love Story! He wrote the screenplay, though

Just watched it and remembered that there was a thread about it...


AWESOME MOVIE

AWESOME!!

In the beginning, it seemed somewhat similar (almost a mirror-image) to an American movie about Helen Keller which I saw before, but it does it's own thing after that

Good acting too

and the only indian actress ive ever heard of? aishwarya rai. funny how i learned about her though. on FW some guy posted a deal with the title - "HOTTER THAN AISHWARYA RAI", no one knew who she was so everyone ended up googling her :)

VERY good movie indeed. Damn Rani can actually act beyond the typical Bollywood movie.
