I currently have a C-II 533A at 904 MHz with 1.92v. I have a Soyo 6BA+III mobo, CLAP II GTS, 128 MB PC133 SDRAM, MSI Master Slocket, Gorb, Arctic Silver Thermal Compound. Even though 1.92v seems high for .18 micron, I plan on running it at this voltage for the time being. My system is very stable, and after playing Quake for an hour or so my temperature doesn't exceed 36 deg C. I'm curious what voltages others of you are using for normal operation of your oc'd .18 micron cpus. Also, is there any way to estimate the (shortening) of the life of the CPU due to running it at this high of a voltage? My guess is that the CPU still would have a life exceeding 3 years assuming the temperature remains fairly low. Intel indicates that coppermines can run between 1.5 and 1.7 volts. At 1.9 volts I am exceeding their max voltage by 12%.
Thanks for any info.
