At-Home Gamemaster?

Hello everyone,

I was checking into gaming jobs (i'm currently working on C++ and Level Design, etc) and I noticed that everywhere I looked, the Gamemaster jobs were at the company's headquarters. Usually that means California.

Since I live in South Carolina =( does anyone know of a gaming company that offers work-at-home Gamemasters or tech support?

I know that in UO the administrators had the ability to log the time of each player/staff member each month and I believe this would still be possible with today's MMORPGs.

The vast majority, if not all, of these jobs are headquarters jobs. This is because a GM needs access to the back end of the game system, as well as internal support systems, and since these are relatively low-skill positions that are easy to hire for, there is no real benefit to the company in making it possible for you to use a VPN to work from home.

Lineage 2 I believe had remote admins, but these were at least Tier 2 people, if not 3+, not your average GM. I'm a little fuzzy on the details though, may have been the guy just happened to live near the headquarters.
