My wife is going to start her own print shop.

We both agree that we have the most advantages by having the shop and home on the same property. There is this really nice house right in town, with a large yard and 2 car garage. The garage is adjacent to a family room which can serve as office space.

I don't think this property is zoned commercial. If this is a state-specific issue - we live in Pennsylvania. Can we run an at-home business if it is only residential property?

I suggest you call your local folks as the laws vary greatly.

probably have to change it to commercial. then your utility companies will charge you a higher rate.

If you still live there, I think it can stay residential zoned.
