AT Forums get slower everyday...

I remember a couple months back when my 28.8 modem loaded AT forums pages with full graphics and everything really fast. Now on my T1 and all pics turned off it takes well over 30 seconds for each page to load. I'm not looking for instantaneous access for free (I guess thats what the members get .. REAL fast service), but is decent performance too much to ask?

Actually, this is a new username i signed up for. I've been a member for more than a year. And to prove my point: I submitted my post, and i hit refresh on the browser. By the time the page reloaded, it had gotten 6 replies already. And by the time this one is posted, who knows, 6 more might have said something.

So what. Most web pages are free and aren't crippled to the point of not being useable.

do most web pages have anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 people surfing on it at the same time? doubt it. there are only a small portion of the 90k members that are active, but there are thousands of lurkers.

I really have no idea but yes, I'm sure there are quite a few. There's no point in arguing about it. Things are the way they are and it's their decision to make.

I'm not saying they are purposfully making it slow. Far from that. What I'm saying is they arn't doing anything about it. I'm sure Anandtech has enough resources that they can make the free forums slightly faster. We're still loading their banners and advertizements, so they're generating revenue. Why not put some of it towards improving the forums? 30+ seconds per page load really disheartens me.
