AT Forums are dying ???

AM I the only one that thinks the AT Forums are dying? I haven't posted in like 2 or 3 weeks and mostly most threads either make no sense or suck.

I dunno about dying, but I think they're changing for sure, IMO. But there have been a lot of stupid posts lately, most threads are boring now... hopefully that'll change tho

must be the weather, i dont know, some threads are sucking, but i noticed those who start them are the junior mems. i dont know if this has been a problem before. hopefully they will get better. but i do agree that the interest has declined. i dont know about "dying"

What exactly are you trying to get out of these forums? I look at them as a way to pass the time while I'm at work. I find some of the things here very interesting and insightful, and others are just stupid stuff like the quotes up above. I'm not about to say that everything I post is sheer genius, nor do I strive for that. I post stuff just for fun all the time, and I don't expect to read wonderful prose in every single post by every member. The fact that these forums are public means you're going to get all kinds of people, and that's fine, the more people I interact with, the better IMHO.

Keep the forums fun, be respectful, and get out what you put in. That's what I think.

How do you fix the problem? I haven't been here long enough to say I think the forums are dying or not, but I'll take your word for it. Where do we go from here? Let the forums die and move to another board? Or bring it back to what it used to be. How is this accomplished?

BTW before I remember how there would be some ill ass threads that the first thing i would do as soon as i logged in was go look for it, now there's not much.

I've been around these forums since we used UBB instead of FuseTalk (well, I wasn't registered, but I was aware of it and read it regularly). I think things have definitely changed significantly, but can you really say for the worse? It seems as though there were always silly threads and &quot;nefs&quot;.

The forums have seen worse times, when certain banned members were still around. If you think the forum is at a lackage of interesting topics, create some [interesting topics]. I used to be among the regular (20-30 per day) posters, but I've layed off on that quite a lot. I drop by now and then and I read it often, but I don't go posting all the time, as I usually don't have much useful or helpful input to offer. \

Well, occasionally I post in a topic like this where I'd like to simply voice my opinion. Which is as follows... I don't think the AT forums are dying at all, just going through a typical time of blandness. Happens all the time! But to be honest with you, I prefer to see boring threads than to see constant bickering between little kids that have nothing better to do than to argue pointless arguments over and over. Members that have been here long know what I'm itching at there.

Sometimes seeing stupid threads is funny, but it gets old really fast..

It *seems* as though there used to be more of an abundance of interesting threads, but I have been here for two or three years now, so perhaps my taste has changed as well. I do remember all those &quot;Cyrix VS Intel; Cyrix VS AMD; AMD VS Intel&quot; threads that used to go on back in the day, in GH... That was fun for a while, but now there isn't even that.
