At every bootup, New Hardware Wizard (Win2K)

Another Win2K annoyance... at each and every Win2K bootup, the New Hardware Wizard pops up detecting a new device on the same IRQ as my video card. I have a feeling it might be the capture feature on my card, but that isn't something that I install as "hardware". Any ideas on how to disable the New Hardware Wizard? If I choose cancel, it puts the device as "Unknown" on the Device Manager. Disabling the Unknown Device has no impact; the next time I bootup, same thing. :frown:

If I remember correctly, have the hardware wizzard search for drivers. Go through the whole routine. At the end of the "install" you will get the option to never check again ( I Think :) )

I most probably think There is an IRQ Conflict in ur MAchine
Just try changing the IRQ of the specified HArdware..
Be careful and note down the Settings .........

Change IRQ of *what*? I didn't install any new hardware. Just tried to change the driver for my GeForce. And I was succeful with that, but now the New Hardware Wizard thing keeps coming. I'll look for a way to disable...

Umm... I have no decoder. I have an Asus V6800 Deluxe. It has built-in TV IN and TV OUT. Get what I'm saying? Anyways... I managed to stop it from coming up at every boot. Used Add/Remove Hardware wizard to permanently "Uninstall/Unplug the Device".
