not my site, but i think this is a very cool idea.

leave a quick comment on the reception in your area, with your provider!

(btw, this is the only site i found from Google.....if there's a more established site, lmk!)

the more reception reviews, the better 😀

it just takes a second. you don't need to register to leave a review.

You would think. I almost submitted my phone type when I replied but they didn't ask for it so I just let it go.

Hi everyone,

I am the webmaster for Mobiledia.com. I noticed a huge surge in the reception participation today so I checked my logs and was pleasently surprised to find this thread.

BornStar18: Great idea. I will add a section for phone type in the form.

Everyone else, thanks for all your help. It's heavily dependant on user participation. I started this not too long ago, and I'll be checking up on this thread for any suggestions to make it better, or complaints.

Hi Allen.

If you could, please have an option to select TDMA and GSM service options.

For my zip code at least, service for the same company (AT&T) can change dramatically between TDMA and GSM. I don't know whether I should just submit 2 seperate reception reviews.

Could be tough, I think 90% of cell phone users don't know what kind of network they're on ... which is too bad since the network could make or break the kind of reception experienced...

Though T-Mobile is all GSM, so that should help a little

Actually I'm working on a zip code search right now. I haven't released it yet for fear that the database might look a bit thin. After enough entries are entered, you will be able to search your zip code and choose the 30 closest zip codes in your area to look at too.
