What kind of drumset do you all have. How long have you been playing. What bands are you in.

I have a 3 year old Mapex Mars 5pc. Started when I was 4 but I didn't really get serious with it until 10th grade(2001) I've been playing for my church's worship band since 2001.

A more important question is what type of cymbals do you have. You can make even a really crappy set of drums sound good, but you can't do anything about cymbals. I would never buy anything than top quality cymbals. Right now I have a 22" ride, 16" crash, 14" hi-hat, and 8" splash, all Zildjian Avedis.

I started about 10 years ago. I don't get to play much now at college. I still play in jazz combos a lot for fun though. I've played a hundred different styles and there's nothing that I love more than swingin'.

The only set I have right now is a Yamaha DTXpress 3 special.
I have been playing for about 9 years

I have played for a few local bands, but mainly just like to jam with friends.

Mine is stored away in the attic, don't remember the brand since it was bought used but I have really nice Zildjian cymbals. I played it throughout middle school and then just kind of stopped, no real reason other than a lack of interest I guess. That reminds me, I need to get that drumset sold

Yamaha Stage Custom... 20" Zildjian Z Custom Ride, 16" Avedis Zildjian Crash, 8" A Custom Splash, Unknown Zildjian hats and a... 14"? Sabian Crash (I don't actually remember what it is... my set is at home... but if anyone is looking for a sabian crash, I'm selling it!)

POS one I got from Sam's Club for 300 bucks. I just wanted something to practice on, as I play on my church youth group's Pearl Forum Seris drumset for worship.

I guess mine isn't so bad for the money, as it has the 22inch bass, 12&13inch toms, snare, bass kick, hi hat, a seat, one crash one ride, a tambourine, and a cow bell, all stands and such included. After adding some evans e-rings it sounds okay.

Got it in 8th grade but never got serious enough to get a real set. I haven't played in a couple years...I miss my marching snare from hs more than the set

When I graduate and get a job I'm thinking about buying a marching snare... You can get them under $500 new and I bet you could get a good one in decent condition used from a marching band. Nothing beats the feel of Kevlar.

I have just plain ole Zildjian ZXTs. Just budget cymbals really. They arent bad. At my church I play on a Tama Rockstar 5pc with some Pasties. I for got what kind of pasties they are.

7 piece pearl exports. i've been playing about 10 years. i've been in a few bands in the past, but the one that was going good ended tragically when one of our guitarists was killed in a car accident... fvcking moron driving an 18 wheeler running a red light. it just crumbled after that, was a big loss for all of us. still playing though 🙂

7 Piece Pearl Export over here as well with Sabian cymbols. Some shade of green. I've been playing for 7 years. (I'm a junior in high school now.) Haven't been in any serious bands, I mostly play for the school. Anyone use roto toms over here?

roto toms...never been a fan. What do you play in marching band?

I played quads in highschool and was in every band the school had. combo, jazz, pep, marching. my friends had a band that we made some money with playing gigs after we graduated but quit when one dude got married and moved to florida.

I've got my 300 dollar ludwig accent. I got it sounding pretty decent and got some Paiste signature series cymbals that sound excellent. I didn't have the money to buy the 14" signature hats i wanted and I still have the 13" zildjian ZBT 🙁
I was pretty good back in the day, i'm sure i'm not nearly as good now as I haven't played very much in the past 5 years. I've been playing for 9 years and have always enjoyed every minute

I'm an accomplished dashboard drummer. 😛 I get funny looks from people in traffic and stuff, too. My steering wheel serves as the hi-hat and toms, the steeriing column is my snare, and the dash behind the wheel is all of my cymbals. Unfortuantely, there's not much that can be done for the kick and hat pedal, since I have a manual tranny. My feet typically are busy making the car go or stop.

i beat on everything and always have. i have a feeling i always will too. it's just natural to me.

5 Piece Pearl Export Series Drum Set. Hoping to expand on it a little 😉 20" Sabian Ride, 16" Medium Crash, 15" Zildjian "A" Thin Crash, 14" Sabian Hi-Hats, DW 7000 Double Bass Pedal. I play the quads in the High School marching band. Been in a garage band for almost a year.

I've got a Tama Starclassic Custom set. I've been playing for about 5 years and I have played in various bands over the years, ranging from jazz to my current Progressive Metal band. I love drums.
