AT Doctors: Weird needle feeling in my ear area

Right at the tip of the ear opening sometimes it gets the needles feeling. As I searched through Google I found that it could be a pinched nerve. Normally if a nerve is pinched does it hurt? I don't have any pain. Any ideas? The feeling comes and goes.

I will be going to a doctor
