At Chipotle, do you get more food in the burrito or in the bowl?

I've always wondered which one would be a better buy. It LOOKS like the bowl would, but as far as I can tell, they put the same amount of food in either one.

Black beans > Pinto beans

Well, since you can't (shouldn't) eat the Burrito Bol container, I voted "Burrito". If the same amount goes into both, the tortilla will make for a helluva lot more calories and fat.

"Better buy" with that type of food is probably whichever has the *least* food, though. ;)

I think the tortilla is around 400 calories. :Q

How that is possible, me has no clue.

It is irrelevant, I've never been to a Chipotle where you couldn't ask to load up on everything for no extra cost. Want more rice than what they initially give you? Ask for more...

Of course when we consider that, I think a bowl could probably hold more see as how they can just pile it high, whereas the burrito needs to be wrapped.

I voted burrito just because I love the taste of it all contained into a bite with the delicious tortilla shell - I'm not concerned about value in quantity (hard to remain hungry after a Chipotle burrito), thus I'm concerned more about quality of taste and I likes my tortilla.

Steak+pinto. Mmm...

Steak+pinto FTW!!

You do get a little bit more food in the bowl, but you can't eat it. Therefore tortilla > bowl

i always ask for double rice, pinto + black, steak, 3 salsas, sour cream, cheese, double lett. and it's easier to put all that in a bowl.

Thanks for the heads up. I happen to like cheese, lettuce, and sour cream, so I'll be sure to avoid "real mexican restaurants".

edit: I see wkabel23 had the same idea.

Anyway, I like the chicken fajita burritos with their hot salsa. I'm not sure if it has more or less food than the bowl, but I like the tortilla, so I'll keep ordering the burrito.:)

I love when people come into these sort of threads and espouse their love of "authentic" <insert name of country here> food, like they are somehow more enlightened and better than the rest of us. Who gives a f&ck what "real" mexicans eat, anyway? It's a shame that "real" mexicans don't use cheese, lettuce, or sour cream, because they sure taste good to me.

As long as it tastes good, it doesn't matter if its authentic or not.

I've never tried pinto beans (always chicken+black for me), but I might try steak+pinto tomorrow.
