yeah, this is lame

How about the Chicago Jazz Fest. It's all ages, free, and the over 21 crowd can drink. It starts on Aug. 31st and goes through the weekend. I'm going to be there probably every day, so if anyone's down, let me know.

Ahh but it's all the way downtown... Grant Park?

Let's do something in the NW 'burbs.

Well the title of the topic is Chicago AT meet. Chicago is easily accessible and has enough public transportation to get everyone there. Going to the burbs pretty much cuts out the people who can't drive, plus there's really nothing (exciting) to do out there.

How about Evanston?

Dude, look here. You are so close to Chi it's not even funny. This is a huge festival thats open to the public and free. If there's something to do in Evanston let me know, but I think that this is the best option for everyone.
