AT and ATX keyboards/mice? ugh...

Well, I am "upgrading" (read: basically building a computer from the ground up) an AT based system. I never figured that my keyboard and mouse wouldn't fit into an ATX mobo, but there is clearly no slot for the keyboard and none for the mouse, except for two slots that would fit, but they don't have a mouse icon. Is there an adapter I can buy for one/both or do I have to buy all new peripherals? Thanks for any comments.

Yes, you can get AT-PS/2 keyboard adapters. I'm not clear on the mouse problem, though. ? If the mouse is PS/2, then the PS/2 port "on top" (or, usually green) is for the mouse.

You seem to be in the same that situation that I'm in.

Your mouse may be a nine pin serial mouse. In that case, there should be an adapter available to convert it to PS/2. I have seen mouse packages like this.
