Asymmetric memory running an AMD Athlon 64 3200MHz?

Subtitle basically says my question. I have heard that some of the older A64 cores cannot handle asymmetrical memory setups (2x512mb and 2x1gb for 3 gigs of ram total). Does anyone know if this is the case on an AMD Athlon 64 3200MHz?

By the way, the short answer is yes. It can. Although it's also largely dependent on the mobo it seems. Trial and Error FTW.

A 3.2Ghz A64? I think you mean an A64 3200, those had a 2Ghz clock frequency, if I recall correctly.
