ASX File Question

I was wondering is there a way to capture an ASX file while it is streaming into your computer. By default these play with windows media player. Is there another Movie player that will actually download the file. I am trying to do this so that I can have a movie for later viewing.

You might try saving the ASX file as a text file (as it is just a XML-like document containing some forwarding information usually) and then try saving the movie link in the ASX file. This should only work with free content, as DRM'ed content will require a license any way you try to get at it.

Funnily enough, though I work in DRMing Windows Media files, I really know very little about the ASX file format.
