Aka: M3000-N

Anybody got one? What do you think? How does it compare to say .. a 600m or a T40 ?
I have not found a proper review anywhere or anyone who has firsthand experience w/ these...
I've already posted this on a few other forums w/o much input.
But I went ahead and ordered one anyway:D

Guts I ordered:

Intel M 1.5
2x Crucial 512DDR
Intel 802.11B M-PCI
Hitachi 40GB 5400RPM

All for under $1500

Thanks

I have been dealing with these for the past couple of months, they are top notch.

I will be doing 1.7 Centrinos at the end of SEPT. projected price is about the same as what you just paid.

I just got it today. It was a bitch to figure out how to get the keyboard off (to install 2nd sodimm and miniPCI) with no instructions. I might have to do a writeup on this for others who may be in the market. Quality looks great so far. I'm still waiting on my hard drive and RAM...so we'll see.

thx for the comment woodscomp. you'll be able to match 1500 with a 1.7M and a gig of ram? you must deal in some volume.

A little volume does not hurt, but like I said the end of Sept. Peak time for Christmas sales and Intel's next price drop on processors is due then.

BTW when you buy "whitebox" products they tend to not come with instructions as they are intended for the professional installation. I know this does not stop Newegg and others from selling the bare pieces but I would imagine that the big distributors will end up sueing them or try to strong arm the manufactures into not letting these be retail type of sales. Hurts my business when the end user gets these products. Hurts my distribution channels even more.
