AsusGF3 V8200 T2 Side band turned off??

Hi people i would like to know how do you turn on the the side band on , the Card a Asus Geforce 3 T2 on a P4T-E 850 Chip , Asus mother running windows 98 second edition, Driver for vid Card is 21.81a, I know its a value added to the registery some were but i dont know were? And also do any people out there know what advantage there is in turning on the side band?
