AsusA7V, several items using irq5 and shows no conflict?

I installed the latest via drivers the other day and noticed in device manager several items using irq5 with pci steering. I don't remember if it was this way before or not, but I don't think so. My sound card, both nic's are using irq5. Is this normal or should I set them in bios instead of auto?

it's not uncommon to have devices share the IRQ, they should be able to share but some are more picky than others. If they are sharing and IRQ they will be set at different addresses. But if you have no problems don't worry about it.

To solve this problem, you need to disable ACPI in your system bios (should be listed under Power Management). If that's not possible, the only other way around it is to format the hard drive and then setup windows using the "setup /p i" switch. This will disable ACPI, and will allow you to set your PCI devices manually in the bios or within the device manager in Windows. Windows 2000 has another way around this without doing the HD format method.
