Lots of chrome/firefox tabs with visual studio alone can get uncomfortably close to 4GB. Add in microsoft office and/or a couple of large PDFs, and that just might push you over. Do not reboot for about a week, and you'll definitely be over 4GB.

It's a flash drive that boots in mere seconds. If you're not properly shutting down your computer you deserve to have issues.
