Hi,
What is the root cause of the mobo LED saying:
A0 and in the manual if I look it up:
"IDE Initialization has started"

And followed by a BSOD!
The screen flickers with rainbow colors and the memory dump code is:
Stop: 0x0000001 and sometimes 116

All the time. Perhaps one has nothing to do with the other, just a thought?

Mobo: Z97-Deluxe
Bios: 0603
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K
O/S: Win 7, but and I have tried new installation as well. It doesn't matter since I got the problem all the time, no matter what.

Memory: Team Group Vulcan Red 16GB (2 x 8GB) 2133MHz CL11
(memory diagnostics performed - no problem).
SSD: Intel 520 180GB
HDDs: WD Velociraptor, WD Black Caviar
Cooler: Noctua C14
Chassi: Antec P193 V3 Performance One
PSU: Corsiar Silver HX 750W
Graphics: Asus Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II
Driver: Catalyst 14.4

The thing is that this a new build (except for the chassi, SSD, HDD, monitors k-board etc.) and I have been extremely cautious about ESD.
And I got the BSOD almost all the time.

Best Regards, from Sweden

IDE initialization sounds like the BIOS setup is on IDE. Just a thought, have you tried changing the PCH Storage configuration to SATA?
