Asus z87 sticker

Just got a Z87 Deluxe mobo. Just wondering if anyone has this mobo? If so is the sticker on yours that says Dual Intelligent Processors upside down because mine is?

Don't care about the sticker but im more concerned about some other quality issue that i cant see that will effect performance
 
RMA the motherboard if your worried about it. Under reason select other > sticker upside down.

Sounds silly doesn't it 🙂

I'd think the sticker was already on the vrm heatsink long before it even had a motherboard in it's sight.
 
It does sound a little silly in some respects, but you're talking about a $280 z87 motherboard... I think you have a right to expect some decent quality control and attention to detail at that price point. Honestly, I'm not sure if I'd RMA, but it would annoy me.
 
Install everything and so far so good. With the video card installed i cant see the sticker. As long as it works is all i really cared about. Didn't want to have to pack everything thing up and have to go back.

That's great! RMA wouldn't have been worth the hassle over the sticker anyways.

With the price of the board you think they would be a little more picky on the trivial things like the sticker tho.

Since it is Dual Intelligent it shouldn't matter if it is upside down or not.
Me and a bunch of other people are still waiting for the missing SoundFX sticker on our Gene-Z motherboard. The sonic quality sound greatly improve once we have the missing sticker.

It is something to see in person as well. It shakes the floor when in operation. The part you don't see in the video is the massive bank of component reels moving back and forth. For every component being placed, it must also pick one up from the reels, which are also moving at the same high speed.

The sub-con I worked for would place 2 of these machines in-line. One would contain all the tiniest capacitors and resistors and run at full speed. The second one would have larger components such as mosfets, and tantalum caps, and would run at about half-speed. As fast as it is moving the board around, when a component becomes detached it wreaks havoc on all the surrounding solder and components. Any damage done has to be fixed by hand soldering after reflow.

Whenever I get a new board, I can't help but inspect it for signs of hand rework.
