bios 3301 , pulled working video card to use in another machine ,replaced with working 750ti , will not boot .
Windows 10 hme,i5 6600k,16g ram, samsung evo ssd boot drive .Looked in bios , pc had reverted to cpu video
so I changed it to pci-e and saved, exit . The mobo doesn't shut down , but REBOOTS , with the cpu option again showing as the video device . I then downloaded the evga 750 ti driver and loaded that , it showed no pci device and stopped . I think if I can find how to have the motherboard accept the change to video - pci-e , and the SHUT DOWN , I can move hdmi cable from mobo to video card and reboot . Any thoughts ?

You can always power your PC down, unplug, and clear your CMOS. If you still can't get it to work, the motherboard might just have compatibility issues with the new card.

I take it you did not uninstall the device (drivers) for the old card before you pulled it out? If the new card was working normally, you should be able to boot into Windows 10 with the OS using a generic video driver.

yes I removed old card driver, then I cleared cmos , it will boot using cpu video , but not the card . The board cant seem to save the change to pcie .

You can make sure your BIOS is the newest version, but while rare, sometimes certain motherboards/chipsets don't play nice with certain cards. It could simply be a compatibility issue. Have you tried the card in another PCIe slot?

Sounds like you killed the video card. A static electricity dis-charge is all it takes..

I tried the card in another slot , I tried the 550 that came out of the mobo . Think I will see what Asus tech support can tell me .
