Asus Z170-A RAM frequency problem

Hi, My ram frequency when set to auto in the BIOS auto sets to 800mhz which gives very poor results in PassMARK. It is a set of 32gb 2666mhz (4x8gb) DDR4 kingston. Should I set it to 2666mhz manually or is something wrong? I worry I will break something.

You may need to set it manually or use the XMP profile.

First try setting the DRAM speed to 2666 and see what happens.

Use CPU-Z to see what your memory is running at, and what speeds it is capable of.
