If only ATI supported SLI we could "finally" have the option of spending $1800 for a couple of those bargains and pair 'em with this awesome deal of $325 for an Asus NF4 SLI Motherboard. Hell, anybody know where I can pre-order an FX-57 for around $1500? I think I'm on a roll here......

Definitely seems to be a growing trend.....it's always been done by shady companies but why are we seeing so much of this from the more reputable firms lately? Are times really that tough for eTailers?

Laws of Supply and Demand may explain the prices, but there are theories on consumer backlash, i.e. in the future shop at a competitor when you want something. They may rake in the huge margins now, but they may be losing out on future repeat business...

True in the case of the standard B&M big name shops. As far as how it applies to internet etailers...I'm not so certain. People who buy off the internet will most likely go where the prices are lowest. These clowns may gouge now but as soon as they offer a great price on a particular item, the consumers will be back.
