I have an Asus x800 pro but don't think its a vivo. However it has the yellow connector next to the power connection. I tried the flash for the 16 pipelines and everything seemed to go well but when I ran ATI tool it says I still only have 12. So I pulled the fan and heatsink off to see if the core had been laser cut but it hadn't. So I believe it should work or am I wrong? or have I been missing something in the way I flashed, I followed the instructions carefully.

I, too, have a X800 Pro that I successfully soft-modded using the Gigabyte BIOS to 126 pipes. You have to uninstall your drivers then reinstall them again and it should show up as 16-pipes! Enjoy!:)

did you check if the ram chips were 1.6ns? You may not be able to see whether the pipes are cut easily... I have a successful Asus Pro TVD (vivo) at XT PE.

looks like the flash is possible. Make sure it actually flashes not just saves the origianl bios. the first time I did the flash I forgot to actually write to the bios.

Ok flashed the bios again using a different one, everthing went smoothly. I know it actually flashed this time because I had to use the "f" key to force the issue because of the different bios. Uninstalled drivers then reinstalled them. Ran ATI tool and still 12 pipes. Thanx for your help guys but looks like its not going to work and I'm damned if I know why.:brokenheart:

Lol! I must be doing somethin wrong. I flashed it again using the Asus x800 pro vivo bios but when I checked the bios info in display settings its still the same. When I flash it seems to read from the floppy and after a bit a heap of writing comes up I thought that was it. It don't say anything about errors.
