Post links of this please, thanks.

FYI, they are the same price as far as MSRP is concerned. Online venders price it at what they want, because they can get it for that price. The same goes for NV cards. Please use your head before posting next time.

Well as of this message it is OOS, so there! ;)

And FWIW--the link referenced at the beginning of this thread is for the PCI-X version; that, and the AGP version ($589, BTW) are both OOS. On top of that--while there is an ETA date given for the AGP version, none is given for the PCI-X.

That is PCI - Express not PCI X. Those are two very different standards.

Well excuse me for not knowing better--I typed "PCI-X" as shorthand for "PCI Express", not because I misinterpreted what PCI standard was being referenced in the product (heck I never even heard of this "PCI X" standard)...

why do they include a web cam? why dont they just cut crap like that out and sell the card for cheaper or make higher margins by not including it?

because the camera and other crap doesn't cost them anything and when ignorant saps question why the product is priced as it is they're just pointed to all the neat extra crap they get

I can't believe it's in stock! But at $699.00, I would be a little hesitant to plop that kind of jimmy down. I can see a day when the top end vid card is going to be a grand (and that will be with stock air cooling). They will offer a water cooled version, but for $100-200 more. AND, if nvidia does bring SLI about, you can double your pleasure (pain)!

I hate to say it. but at $699 my 6800 GT @ ultra speeds looks even more impressive..

Paid $319 for mine.. - 80 or so for my 9500 Pro.

ZZF was selling an X800XT for 800 dollars and a 6800U for 750 dollars. If that ain't price gouging, I don't know what is.

Am I missing something, or does the ASUS model only use DDR memory, and not DDR3? ASUS's webpage only says DDR, as do other places I've come across. The reference board from ATI uses DDR3.
