Hi, if someone could tell me what are th biggest/safer oc done to this card on stock cooler, please tell me.

right now i run it at gpu 500 and mem 1000 , the temps are +/-40º at idle and +/-70º running 3dmark05 several times. i have no issues and no image artifacts.

can i get it higher?, and another question ... does it burn when oc beyond safe or it just freezes tue computer and reboots?

thanks

Anyone?? there's got to be someone with a X800 Pro ( because of the same reason i bought one , there weren't any Xt's available )

Please...

I run 540gpu/520mem (I guess mem is doubled?). Runs stable, though gets to high 70s sometimes. This is stock cooling.

I run artifact free at 550 core 540 memory stock cooling!
best program to use for temps and overclock is ati tool it finds the max core oc and memory fior you and also has temp recording ect ect!

god damn you guys have high temps! Mine runs at 29C idle and no higher than 44C after a couple hours of gaming. And that was when my card was at 540 520. I have a thermaltake Giant III.

*nipples, my max over clock on stock cooling was very close to your settings.

it should be able to do the XT PE speed honestly... try 520//560 - my Asus X800 Pro VIVO is running at that speed, but with 16 pipes.. They are the same chip, so in theory very possible to be fine at that speed. Mine does run sort of strangely hot though.. i mean, 33C idle, and 75C load :|

If you notch up carefully you should get artifacts or lockups before your card ignites into flames. Always a risk though I suppose. Go slowly, and do more than just a couple runs of 3dmark before declaring your card stable at that speed.

Just a word of warning guys. I had my x800pro up to 500/525 (although I looped 3dmarks @ 525/540) for seveal months. Yesterday my rig began to artifact like crazy. IN games...out of games...etc. Ironically the temperatures were still at 62 at MOST under load through an ATI silencer. Needless to say I was mystified and alarmed. I gave the card one more go today and she seems to be running fine again. Just a word of caution...although I"m sure you guys are well aware of the inherent risks in OC's =D.
