ASUS VS278Q-P vs. Dell U2412M? Buying today!

Dear all,

I'm gonna buy either the ASUS VS278Q-P or the Dell U2412M. I KNOW the Dell is significantly better quality, etc. But the Asus is 27'' which is quite desirable, and on newegg got good reviews. I cannot afford the U2711.

I will be using it for (a) watching (at most) 1080p movies, and (b) programming (large screen real-estate is a HUGE help when I'm programming).

Please let me know what you guys think. Feel free to recommend other stuff too.

Dell.

You can always make the Dell "larger" by moving it closer to your face. You can never make the Asus show 1920x1200 pixels.
