Powercolor = Lifetime warranty - Never dealt with them for an RMA but they are supposedly pretty good these days.

Asus = 3 Year warranty (Most likely as long as you'll need) - I've RMA'ed several motherboards & turnaround can take awhile, plus they can be hard to contact.

The Powercolor card comes with an Artic cooling HS/fan which despite venting air onto the motherboard is a very effective cooler... the Asus is cheaper, but is always out of stock & the core is clocked slightly lower by default.

I'd give the slight edge to Powercolor.

The ASUS looks like the better deal to me. It will probably be out of stock quite a lot at that price, though.

I was waiting for the asus to come back into stock myself but I nabbed the powercolor version for $199 the first day it came out at newegg.

The card works good the one point that swayed me was the vivo as the asus didnt have it. The fan is fairly quiet and keeps it cool ccc reports 49c at 621/750 settings with little or no change in sound from the card. though my system fan ramps up to eject the extra heat from the case as the fan blows the heat from the x1950pro down onto the motherboard.

;-)
it's ATI ---> CrossFire

if you have ATI MB chipset with 2 pcix then YES - the crossfire bridge support is built in x1950pro

FYI - Asus card doesn't come with "crossfire bridge"

now someone got PowerColor without it!!!

Not to highjack this thread but it's an A8N-SLI Deluxe and I think it's a Nvida chipset on it, so am I SOL doing SLI with these cards?

Thats a yes ... If you want to run SLI your best bet in the same price range as the 1950 Pro
would be 2x 7900GT's.

But do they compare in performance?

it's depend what you will run

in 3dmark - EVGA 7900GT KO OC to 600 scores about 20% higher then x1950PRO
but, NV not as fast with SM 3.0 as ATI

check reviews for x1950pro for some games you play or would play
keep in mind that x1950Pro doesn't OC as good as 7900GT does
also in comparation they used stock NV card at 450 speed instead 550 or 600!!!

any one can give us the link x1950Pro at 621 mhz vs 7900GT at 600 mhz?
