The overclock is also largely dependent on the cpu, but I dont think you will have problems hitting 4.5 on either. Both are good vendors but with poor support/RMA processes (IMO)

Asus fan here, but I would go with the gigabyte from those two. The LE is lower end and has less power phases. The gigabyte is almost two steps up in features, (you would need to jump to Asus Z77 Pro to equal it)

Between those two boards, I would go with the Gigabyte. It's a higher end board, as HexiumVII stated.

IMO both are great companies...BUT, my roomate have his P67 Deluxe failed on him last month. Contacted ASUS and received a RMA 2 weeks later. No biggie there.

Received the replacement mobo last week and saw that the Puro box had a hole in it. Opened the box in front of the Puro lady and he realised that the hole even poped the bubble wrap. The mobo was intact but who knows.

He contacted ASUS but it was not their fault (obviously). Puro offered him only 100$ (the board is worth around 170$).

That's when he realised that ASUS didn't bother to take an insurance on the package!!!?!??

So now he's still stuck with a non working mobo and lots 70$ + the shipping...

Right there, that's when my faith in ASUS fell apart.

No, ASRock has been spun off from ASUS as a separate company.

And they seem to rock the place hard! They offer awesome products with lots of features, sometimes more than the others at a lower price.

I have bought ASRock when they were with ASUS and would by again now!

this.

my gigabyte p7-ud4 has no issues letting me turn my CPU up to 4.5

Eh did Gigabyte start implementing the ability to use Offset with LLC? I think some of the more recent boards had it but don't know if it's standard.

I have built dozens of computers over the past 20+ years using many brands of motherboards, but I just got the Gigabyte board you are wondering about. It is without a doubt the best built motherboard I have ever encountered, the quality just oozes from it. Highly recommended. I used to be an Asus fan.
