ASUS VivoBook S200E works perfectly when connected to mains power.

However, after 2 years of use, the original battery would not charge.

So, I bought a replacement battery off Ebay . Guess what? Same problem.

Thinking that a non-original ASUS battery was at fault. I then went an bought a genuine ASUS battery and the exact same thing is happening.

The connection from battery to the mobo seems fine. As I've said, this notebook works sweet as a nut when connected to mains power.

But I cannot figure out why a brand new genuine battery will not charge?
 
This seems to be too much complicated case and I don't think that this is a common issue. Take it to the Asus Service center. They will figure out the problem.
