Newegg is selling these monitors again. Seems like it's always hovering around $160~ so ignore the $200 price point they try to sell you.

The deal is ending on Sunday midnight.

Btw first time posting a hot deal. If I'm missing any info that should be inputted please let me know so that I may either edit this post or know in the future.

Edit: Also, how do I shorten the link to make it look less spammy?

I almost bought that one. However, I spent extra 20 dollars for VE247H, $149.99 after 10 mail-in-rebate. It is 0.6" larger with LED backlight, I feel that is a better deal.

Thanks OP for the info. I did end up buying the VE247H because of the LED backlight, and I found out its the same one I bought my mom last year. I have been really impressed with ASUS monitors. So far I've had great luck with a few different versions. I had a single dead pixel on one purchase but Newegg swapped it out for me. ASUS seems to always have some really good deals on their monitors!

Wow $30s off that monitor is a great deal. Some reviews are saying that there are supposedly ghosting on that monitor with black->white transitions, any truth in that?

Good thing I didn't jump on the previous deal yet, 150 for slight increase in size and overall newer model seems like a deal. Unfortunately I've been out of the monitor scene for a while, how much difference does the LCD-LED backlighting make compared to a regular LCD?

I watch movies and play games on that monitor and I haven't ever noticed any ghosting of any kind. LED backlighting should be brighter, run cooler, and last much longer than regular backlighting.
