Im planning on picking up this monitor for my PS360. Anyone have it? What do you think of it?

just got this monitor a few days back. Im having 1 issue. When running my laptop though the monitor via HDMI @ 1080p i get black bars around the whole image. Why is this doing that? Isn't it supposed to be full?

some setting in your video card control panel should allow you to control overscan and set it to 0.
that is the only way to get 1:1 pixel matching picture. it is weird that it is not the default.

i have an ATI card so can't help you with specifics, but it was similar with it... plugging it in my HDTV, it looked roughly the correct size, but kinda crap. when i set the tv to exact pixel match, there was black space all around the image. in the catalyst control panel i found the overscan setting defaulted to some ridiculous non-zero value.

Great thanks bro. I also have a ATI Card in the laptop im using its a 2600 hd.

Your laptop native/max resolution is probably lower than 1080p, maybe 1680x1050 so if the monitor is set to 1:1 you'll get bars all around. The monitor should have some setting for Full or Wide that will stretch the lower resolution to fit the entire screen. If you want everything to remain proportional you may want to change the laptop resolution to 16:9 first, so like 1280x720.

That wasn't my problem. Thanks though. Visual fixed it for me.

Did you happen to find a solution to this problem? I have an Asus VH226H and when trying to play games at 1280x720 or 1366x768 I get black bars all around the picture (720p) or black bars on top&bottom (13x7). I didn't use to get black bars at 1366x768 but one day, for not apparent reason, they started appearing. I haven't changed the cable (DVI). My GPU is ATI x1950 and my OS is XP Pro 32-bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
