Asus Vento available at MWave

The basic Evercase 4252 is available from Newegg for $35. Why would anyone want to pay $115 more for the plastic facade?

dumbest looking case in history

Agreed, stupidest case ever made.

Actually, I would buy one to build a box for my small son, but there's no way in hell I'll pay that kind of money for it.

I think ASUS and Alienware challenged each other to an ugly contest!! Pretty dang expensive for no PSU too. Well, at least it doesn't look like an 80's cartoon robot head....j/k... to each his own. 😀

I will be the odd one, I like it!

I like it too, in red... but no way i'm paying $150 for that.

Me too. I get of tired of "square" stuff. I'm waiting for a price drop.

EDIT: Is this Evercase 42x2 the OP mentions a "non-square" case? I can't seem to find a link with pics. Google etc no help. Anybody got a link for me?

Thanks

The "x" in 42x2 is a place-holder for one of several numbers (this shorthand is often used in messages here - useful to remember it - a ? is often used for the same purpose, but x denotes a numeric value, while a ? might stand for any ASCII character). Newegg carries the 4252 and the 4292 with lots of pix. It is a very 'square' case in its normal skin - just well hidden with the plastic shell on it.
