Hello,

I am going desprate. I need some serious help over here with my computer. My current power supply is only 350 but that should be enough, I had a 400 before. My Asus V8460 Ti4600 deluxe fried, the ram went to sheeeeeet and it had voltage surges, all of that good stuff. So, they replaced it with a new one, the freaking thing reported the GPU @ 220+C and that the VGA was not functioning. I am not going through this crap again. What the heck is the problem?

Specs:

MSI KT3 Ulta2
XP 2100+
Two 60GB IBM DEATHSTARS
Audigy XGamer 5.1
512 PC2700 RAM

Anything else you need to know, tell me.

Sounds like a possibel mobo problem, but if your CPU is that hot, then you need to def check your heatsink. Make sure the fan is turning, and that you have proper contact. IF it did in fact get that hot, your cpu is probably fried.

Make sure you have to cooler on properly and try to boot to the bios, and check your temp there first thing. Then you can go from there. If your cpu is getting that hot, there is no way your whole system will be stable.

Whoops that was GPU. Make sure you have everything seated properly, and I would check my cpu, and all the fans anyway. Also check for dust in your agp slot, and pci's. Sounds like you have some major probs, I would also reset your bios default on your mobo. Any overclocking involved?

No overclocking. Yes, there is a lot of dust in there, kinda hard to keep it out :\

These are what the CURRENT settings say (as of being stable for now)

Temp:
GPU : 56C
RAM : 40C

Power:
VDDQ: 1.47
AGP Bus V1: 3.12

Before I got this one replaced, the VDDQ and AGP Bus were going sky high in voltage ( up to 4.12 each ) and then the fan would completely stop. I just got this motherboard not to long ago, maybe MSI isnt the best, but stabilitiy proved good. I had a G3 Ti500 in here while the other was gone, no problems. Maybe its just possibly a little bug in SmartDoctor?
