ASUS V7100 agp texture acceleration not working

When I run dxdiag and test AGP texturing, my PC freezes. My PC is an Aptiva 2172 71B ( yeah, I know). I had a lot of trouble even getting the V7100 to work. Can anyone help - cos I'm fu**ed.:D:(
