ASUS V6600 Delux AGP Speed

Hi, I have an Asus V6600 Delux AGP graphics card and have a question about the AGP speed displayed in the "Information" section of the ASUS Control Panel.

The graphics card is supposed to be AGP 4X. However, in the Control Panel the following line is displayed. "BUS Type: AGP 2X (Current Rate: 2X) Side Band: Off"

I was wondering if anyone can tell me why it is running at 2X by default (I havn't changed any settings) and if it is possible to make it run at 4X.

Thanks!

Perhaps your motherboard does not support AGP4X or you have AGP4X disabled in the BIOS. Either of those would be the most likely reason.

Personally I wouldnt worry about it though, AGP4X offers absolutely nothing over AGP2X for today's software.
