This past weekend I encounter a very frustrating problem. After 2 months of my video card working fine, I was working in Windows 98 and decided to update my Asus 6800 GeForce 256 DDR drivers to the latest version (3.75). My system appeared to be running ok after the update, until suddenly the video become distorted.
I rebooted the computer to find my monitor would no longer recognize the video card, and my machine would power itself down after bootup. I removed the card and put it back in, with no different results. I put in a different card (same slot) and the monitor recognized the presence of a video card and the machine did not reboot.
I tried to call Asus Technical and Warranty support, but all of the numbers have been disconnected. The only telephone number I could find kept me on hold for over 45 minutes and then disconnected me (long distance mind you). I sent an email to trd@asus.com, but have not heard any reply.
The only information I have found so far was from the discussion forum on the Asus site. Others have had the exact same problem I have had.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Any advice or information would be appreciated.
