Okay, I'm confused. With the release of Vista why on Earth would anyone release a product with EAX and DirectSound 3D support? Didn't Vista get rid of those and move to OpenAL?

I refuse to buy anything made by asus especially since they've proven that they won't support their products when a new os is released. I've got one of their tv cards laying in a box because they never updated their software/drivers for xp pro 64 much less vista. Besides their newer stuff doesn't have the same quality that their older hardware had. Could the made in china factor be a problem now?

I still buy their motherboards but I just don't understand the whole EAX selling point. Doesn't work in Vista so why bother?

auzentech did this last year with the xplosion cards, and with better specs and quality.

Don't they showcase the whole Dolby Digital thing instead? I swear that the PC world should use that same standard.
