ASUS unlocking the A7M multiplier?

Well not exactly. It turns out the guy was talking about a device thats called a "Golden Socket" that interfaces between the processor and the motherboard, and has settings to make the motherboard believe the cpu has a different multiplier than it really does...

asus has no locked multiplier, it just has no dipswitch block .. if you can solder, just install a similar size dipswitch block or a bunch of pins to be used with jumpers (I wouldn do this tho .. the board is too expensive for this ... I think that i'll use the standard multiplyer setting of my athlon and tweak that one (cutting and reconnecting bridges on top of the athlon ..)
