Asus TUSL2-C w/1GHZ P3 CPU temp @42C. Is this average at idle state?

Idle CPU temps are 42C(bios report)?
Is this about average?
 
dood..I have the exact same rig.........P31000 in Asus TUSL2-C. My system is in a full tower case and the sdes are notclosed. Asus probe is reporting CPU temp as 34 degrees celsius. Remember my case is open on the mobo side. I used stock fan and thermal pad. I do not think you are too outrageous if your case is locked down.
