I can't get my ASUS TUSL2-C board to work. After my crappy VIA KX133 board finally died I decided to buy a new board and a Celeron 1000. I can't get my new board working, I always get a looping high/low frequency sound on startup. The manual said the RAM is not detected, but I inserted 4 different SDRAM modules which worked before. No chance. I unplugges all cards, tried two differend 3D cards (Creative GF1 / Creative Gf3), unplugged all the rest. Nothing.

Anything I can do or do I have to give the mobo back ?

greetings,
Tim

A looping high/low alarm is a temperature or voltage problem.

3 beeps indicates video or RAM...and the tones don't alternate.

Make sure that you have your heatsink on properly.

Ok, I know the sound and I also thought it was a temp problem, BUT the mobo manual says it's not. Also, the fan is running and the CPU is (of course, after 10sec...) very cool. The only thing I can imagine is that the RPM monitor is broken, maybe...
